Committees and Working Groups
Fuel Cells UK has represented and promoted the UK fuel cell
community’s interests in a variety of national policy-influencing fora:
BSI GEL 105: This committee is the BSI vehicle into the Technical Committee 105
of the International Electro-technical Commission. TC 105 comprises teams from
15 countries collaborating to design standards for all fuel cell applications.
HSE Fuel Cell Installation Working Group: System providers, consultants, HSE,
the HSL and fuel providers work together to develop a robust framework of
health, safety and installation codes.
DGCG Work Stream 4 – Micro-generation solutions: Members of industry, DTI and Ofgem work together to identify necessary changes to policy, regulation and
legislation in order to bring about a more favourable regulatory framework for
Micro-generation.
LowCVP – Supply Chain Working Group: The LowCVP is a partnership of the
automotive and fuel industries, Government, academia, NGOs and other
stakeholders collaborating to promote the shift to clean low carbon vehicles and
fuels in the UK. The Supply Chain Working Group focuses on the development of UK
supply chains.
Advisory Committee on Carbon Abatement: This Committee provides expert,
independent advice to DTI on matters concerning technologies for reducing carbon
dioxide emissions from fossil fuel power generation.
